Why we exist

Most dental-tourism websites are selling. We're explaining.

Clinic websites show you their best cases. Package sites show you the lowest price. Neither is designed to help you decide. Dent & Smile Co. is built for the patient: we explain the treatment, show you what to verify, and help you read written plans side by side.

In writing

Every important answer, from diagnosis to guarantee, should be on paper before you fly.

Your decision

No deadlines, no "today only", no deposits to us. Take the time a good decision needs.

Verifiable

We point you to sources you can check yourself, starting with the Ministry of Health register.

Honest about limits

If treatment abroad isn't right for your case, we'll say so.

An established destination

Türkiye is one of the world's leading health-tourism destinations, and dentistry is one of its main specialties. Quality still varies, which is why we focus on how to check.

Closer than you think

Nonstop flights connect Istanbul with many major U.S. cities; from New York it is about ten hours. Consultations, scans and fittings can often be planned around a single stay.

A regulated sector

Clinics serving international patients must be authorized by the Ministry of Health, and you can check that authorization yourself on the official HealthTürkiye portal.

Red flags

Pressure to decide on the day · no named dentist · a price with no itemized plan · "all teeth" recommended without explanation · no written guarantee.

Patient stories

Real stories, only with real consent.

We don't publish stock photos or illustrations as results. As patients choose to share their experience, their stories will appear here: their treatment, materials, timeline and photos, in full.

Individual results vary. A story is one patient's experience, not a prediction of yours.

More answers in Choosing a Clinic →
Is dental treatment in Istanbul safe?

It can be, when you choose an authorized clinic, a named and qualified dentist, and a clear written plan. Quality varies widely, which is why we focus on how to check before you commit.

How do I know a clinic is legitimate?

Check its authorization on the Ministry of Health's HealthTürkiye portal, ask for the treating dentist's name and qualifications, and insist on a written, itemized plan before paying anything.

How long will I need to stay?

It depends on the treatment and your case. Veneers and crowns are often planned around one stay; implants usually need two trips, months apart. Your treating dentist should give you the timeline in writing.

What happens if I have a problem after I get home?

Agree before you travel who you contact, what the guarantee covers and who pays for travel or local repairs. Bring your full records pack home so a local dentist can help.

Will my insurance cover any of it?

Often not, but plans differ. Ask your insurer in writing before you travel and request itemized receipts. UK patients: GHIC and EHIC do not apply in Türkiye.

Are you a clinic? How are you paid?

No. We are an independent guide, not a clinic or medical provider, and we do not give medical advice. Today we charge patients nothing and receive no fees from clinics. If that ever changes, we will say so on this page, in plain words, before you decide anything.
